The first meeting of the foreign committee of the central committee for Imam Khomeini’s commemoration was held by the attendance of officials at the International Affairs Department of The Institute for Compilation and Publication of Imam Khomeini's Works.

The head of the Khomein Culture and Islamic Guidance Department announced that an assembly and visual arts exhibition regarding the topic of Muharram and Ashura will be set up at Imam Khomeini’s house in Khomein.

Sayyid Hassan Khomeini said:

Art is not only an impartial means of expressing problems within society

"A group of mature and young poets met up with Sayyid Hassan Khomeini and recited their poems for him and gave their views regarding the society. Sayyid Hassan told them of their duties as artists, and said that they should not be an impartial means of expressing problems but should also step forward and help solve them, however difficult this transition may be."

Dr. Hamid Ansari, who is the deputy head of the Institute of Compilation and Publication of Imam Khomeini’s works, sent a letter, which was made public, to the head of the Supreme Leader’s representatives in universities. This letter was in regards to the publication of false issues and statements regarding Sayyid Hassan Khomeini and officials, who were trusted by Imam Khomeini and are now trusted by his grandson. The letter also complains about the illegal publication of the Imam’s works without the permission of the Institute of Compilation and Publication of Imam Khomeini’s works.

The Image of Sun photo exhibition has opened in Tehran's Niavaran Cultural and Historical Complex to honor the memory of Imam Khomeini. The ceremony was attended by Iran's Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad Hosseini and a number of foreign representatives on Saturday evening.
