Imam during exile kept visiting Karbala regularly

It has been recalled through a series of memoirs that Imam during his stay in the holy city of Najaf regularly used to visit Karbala to perform pilgrimage of Imam Hossein (‘a)’s holy shrine.

Imam used to stay at a simple house of an Iranian who was then residing in Kuwait.

Imam, who had great devotion for the people of the honorable prophet’s Household also paid visit to Karbala during mourning days of Tasu’a and Ashura.

Imam frequently said that the Islamic Revolution under his leadership was inspired by the divine Ashura uprising.
