We must pursue genuine thought of Imam Khomeini on women issues: Dr. Komsari

The head of the institute for compilation and publication of Imam Khomeini’s works say that "we are obliged to follow the dynamic thought of the late founder of the Islamic Republic on women issues."

Dr. Ali Komsari made remarks while a spiritual gathering held on the auspicious occasion of birth anniversary of Hadrat Fatima Zahra (‘a), the beloved daughter of the holy prophet of Islam.   The occasion also coincides with birth anniversary of Imam Khomeini.

“We have distanced ourselves from the Imam’s dynamic thought on the issue of women,” the reputed scholar said, adding, “Imam's thought in the field of women is the most golden part and are of great significance.”

Imam announced the birthday of Hazrat Faime Zahra (‘a) as "Women's Day" and each year honored the occasion by praising women as builders and trainer of real men, societies and nations.

“We have distanced ourselves from the Imam's thought in many areas, one of which is the issue of women,” Dr.  Komsari pointed out.

"Today, we could not be hurt in the field of women; If we had moved forward based on Imam’s dynamic ideals,” the reputed scholar said.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Dr. Komsari said that  any law that wants to be imposed without the will of the people is rejected from the Imam's point of view.

It is worthy to mention that Imam Khomeini announced birthday Anniversary of Hadrat Fatimah Zahra (a) as Woman's Day.

Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Republic introduced Hazrat Fatima Zahra ('a) as an exemplar for all generations throughout the history.

Imam Khomeini in a series of historic messages in this regard said as following:

The exemplar is Hazrat Fatima Zahra, upon whom be peace. The exemplar is the Prophet of Islam. We can say that our country is Islamic, that we have an Islamic Republic when all these ideals that are contained in Islam are realised.
