Imam Khomeini’s Ideals about Quds

Sudanese cultural minister says: "Imam Khomeini had frequently emphasized that it was incumbent on all Muslims to take solid steps to release Quds from clutches of Zionist regime."

According to the reporter of Imam Khomeini English Portal from Irans cultural center in Sudan, the Sudanese Culture and Information Minister Ahmed Bilal Osman made these remarks during a conference on the “Islamic Awakening” in Khartoum.

He also  highlighted initiative by Imam Khomeini of declaring the last Friday from holy month of Ramadan as Quds Day and went on to say that the great Imam had made incumbent on all Muslims to undertake all efforts in order to accomplish the freedom of Quds. He added that this all cannot be achieved except by the unity among the Muslim Ummah.

Pointing to Imam’s instructions about Quds, the ministers emphasized on unity of the Muslim Ummah, destruction of Zionist regime and freedom of occupied territories from clutches of occupiers and return it to the Muslim Ummah.

He expressed his regret that colonial powers led by the United States and Zionist regime are making regional countries believe that Iran is top enemy and not Israel in this region.

I warn the people not to be deceived by these types of conspiracies. They want to introduce the Islamic Republic as enemy of the regional countries for accomplishment of their vicious pursuits and can plunder the enrich resources of these countries,” the minister noted.

The Iranian Ambassador to Sudan Jawad Turkbadi also delivered a speech to the conference. He said that Imam Khomeini had underscored the issue of Palestine and Quds as an axis of unity among the Muslims. He went on to say that the great Imam started the Islamic Revolution of Iran with the issue of Quds and condemnation of Israel and deemed the unity among the Muslims the sole way of relieving from clutches of the world evil colonial and arrogant powers.

The late Imam had closely associated and ties the Muslim victories with each other. Imam had emphasized that their victory would not only be considered an accomplishment or Iranian but for the whole Muslim world, the ambassador added.

It is worth-mentioning that the conference was held with efforts of the culture center of the Islamic Republic of Iran and it was widely covered by the Sudanese press and media.

Several high-ranking government officials, political and cultural figures, Abdurahim Ali, the professor at the international University of Africa and the head of center for foreign languages, Dr. Fellow Tavos Faraj , Christian spiritual leader and the leader of Shahideen church in Khartoum, Professor Ismail al- Laili,  the head of the delegation of Sudanese scholars, Mariam Sadiq al-Mahdi from Ummah party, Professor Yousuf al-Khalifa , the professor at Internal Univeristy of Africa, Dr. Sir al-Nafar, the head of union of poets and literary figures, Dr. Fateh Hamdtu, a member of the union of the poets and literary figures, Nourrudin the prominent Sudanese poet, Sheikh Muhammad al-Raeh, prominent clergyman, Shaikh Ahmad Idris, a cultural activist and head of Idrisia school and three hundred people from different walks of life attended this conference of great significance.
